As an Interface Developer, I ensure seamless communication between different systems. Our team is ultimately responsible for the smooth transfer of data between the individual systems at Fronius. For example, if the CRM system requires data from the ERP system, these systems never communicate directly but always through an interface created by us.

Yannick: As an interface developer, I ensure seamless communication between different systems. Ultimately, our team is responsible for the smooth transfer of data at Fronius. Our systems never communicate directly, but always through one of our interfaces.

These can be divided into three main categories: First, there are the internal interfaces: these are used when internal systems need to communicate with each other.

Then we are also responsible for all of our customer platforms, providing data.

This goes all the way to production - we really have our fingers in every pie.

Everyday work

Yannick: We use a ticket system to manage requests. Typically, there is a meeting with the relevant specialist departments and development teams beforehand to define the specific process.

After development, we proceed to implementation. We remain responsible for the interfaces we develop, meaning if any issues arise, we are on hand to fix them.

We work closely with the CRM and ERP teams, as well as all development teams, to access and provide data from various systems. It's a diverse role with new challenges every day, making the work exciting and never boring.

What qualifications should you have?

I believe you should be creative and ambitious because things don't always work as planned. You need to be persistent and willing to learn until you achieve the desired result.

What excites you about your work?

I enjoy tackling new challenges and finding solutions. I thrive on more complicated tasks where I have to dig in and figure out the best approach.

Teamwork

How would you describe the atmosphere at your workplace?

Our team spirit is excellent, and my colleagues are all very friendly. We get along well and sometimes meet outside of work to spend time together. I particularly appreciate that in our team, you can always ask questions. If you're stuck on a task, there's always someone ready to help.

What about further training and benefits?

Starting straight out of school, I've learned a lot on the job. Fronius offers numerous training courses, keeping us up to date. There are also many benefits, such as discounts and special offers in various stores with the employee ID card, including at the gym, which is great for me as I enjoy working out.
